The Peace Sign was designed and completed February 21, 1958 by Gerald Holtom,a commercial designer and artist in Britain.Commissioned by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, he designed the symbol to use in protest against the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment.The symbol itself is a combination of the semaphore signals for the letters N and D, standing for Nuclear Disarmament.

When I read the above I knew my conscience would never allow me to sell the art. It just feels to me that no matter how it's designed, it's still the Peace Sign. It's meant to be shared... Peace is about all of us and so is this art. It comes from my heart and I offer it to yours. Use it with love.

A couple of years ago, I came across a flag named The Humanbeing Flag. It caught my attention and I remember reading about it. Recently, I had the privilege of talking with it's creator. He feels about the flag, a lot like I feel about the peace art. He has given it to us, to serve as a reminder of where we've come from.... And where we need to go. It came to me that we need a focal point, Somewhere to start anew from, Somewhere to remember that we are all human beings and that we all are entitled to dignity, respect and the knowledge that we are all equal. Maybe once we hear of the flag's purpose and see it...We will remember. ~David Moore
